I am a devout Christian...I also appreciate good writing and a person's effort and sense of humor. Moore has clearly done a lot of research into the Jewish ways of life and all sorts of things in the time period when Jesus lived. He said mixed it with some imagination and well meant humor. I loved the book! He went wild with it and i loved every minute of it...i know a lot of Christians might call it blasphemous but I think to that Jesus would say, "relax, take a chill pill" I really wanted to like this book. The concept seems like it would have a lot of opportunity for good fun and humor. Unfortunately the author could not keep anything going. Instead of coming up with something interesting he resorted to bathroom jokes and sex humor. I'm not a prude and can enjoy some irreverent humor but unfortunately it was just garbage and a waste of paper. Too bad.
